Leah Epting (leah42@live.unc.edu) is a graduate research fellow in the CHW and a master of information science student in the School of Information and Library Science at UNC-Chapel Hill. She received a BS (summa cum laude) in Interdisciplinary Studies from Norfolk State University. Her research interests include archival representation (and under or misrepresentation), community archives, and representing archival documents within emerging digital technologies. She holds a shared graduate research assistantship with the Community History Workshop and the Community Driven Archives program in the Southern Historical collection, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and primarily works on the Dorothea Dix Hospital project.
